Robert Ruiz joined Northwood Retail in 2021 and serves as Operations Manager. With extensive industry experience, Mr. Ruiz oversees site operations, capital projects, asset redevelopment and tenant construction for The Forum Carlsbad and Scripps Ranch. With a hands-on approach, Mr. Ruiz is involved in all facets of project management from conceptual design to construction oversite.
Prior to joining Northwood Retail, Mr. Ruiz served as Manager of Facility Operations and Tenant Services at Westfield overseeing day-to-day operations and project management. From 2016 to 2019 he gained his initial mixed use experience at JLL serving UTC Aerospace and Amazon accounts. In addition, Mr. Ruiz has a strong aviation background and was stationed at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego serving in the U.S. Navy and as a private contractor working on MH60 aircraft. Mr. Ruiz received a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics and a Master of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
