- Director of Development & Operations, Construction -

Robert Ruiz joined Northwood Retail in 2021 and serves as Director of Development & Operations. With extensive industry experience, Robert oversees site operations, capital projects, asset redevelopment and tenant construction for The Forum Carlsbad and Scripps Ranch. With a hands-on approach, he is involved in all facets of project management from conceptual design to construction oversite.

Prior to joining Northwood Retail, Robert served as Manager of Facility Operations and Tenant Services at Westfield overseeing day-to-day operations and project management. From 2016 to 2019 he gained his initial mixed use experience at JLL serving UTC Aerospace and Amazon accounts. In addition, he has a strong aviation background and was stationed at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego serving in the U.S. Navy and as a private contractor working on MH60 aircraft.  Robert received a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics and a Master of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
