Dallas shoppers will soon have a shorter commute to the nearest Ikea. The Swedish home furnishing brand will open it newest store at the Shops at Park Lane on March 11, according to an announcement.
The two-story store, which will span 63,000 square feet, will be smaller in comparison the retail giant’s Frisco and Grand Prairie locations. Ikea at Park Lane marks the retailer’s first expansion to central Dallas. Ikea has another store planned in Rockwall set to open later this year.
While the entire range of items will not be available at the smaller Dallas store, customers can order items online or for home delivery. More than 3,000 items will be available for immediate takeaway.
The store will also include a Swedish deli, which will serve up its well-knownSwedish meatballs as well as hot dogs, veggie dogs and cinnamon buns.
The Park Lane location was first announced in April 2025 . The 33-acre mixed-use shopping center — owned by New York-based Northwood Investors — is home to Whole Foods Market, American Girl and Old Navy, and sits near the NorthPark Center.
“As one of the largest global retail brands, IKEA will be a gamechanger for our project, and we feel fortunate that IKEA chose The Shops at Park Lane to plant its flag in core Dallas,” Ward Kampf, president of Northwood, said in a March 4 announcement.
Kampf added that the new location will play into a “larger growth storyhappening now in Dallas” as more retailers embrace smaller store formats to bemore inviting to customers whose shopping habits have changed post-pandemic.
