Weekend plans still up in the air? We’ve got a few ideas for you and the family.

From Juneteenth celebrations to live music, tap dancing, soccer fun and a brand-new adventure course, here are some Austin-area events to check out this weekend.

Carver Kickback: Juneteenth Edition

  • Celebrate Juneteenth this Saturday at the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural and Genealogy Center.
  • The Carver Kickback runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at 1165 Angelina Street in East Austin.
  • The free, all-ages event will include BBQ plates, music, hands-on activities and vendors. Organizers say it is meant to be a day of celebration, education and remembrance.

Central Texas Juneteenth Parade and Festival

  • The annual Central Texas Juneteenth celebration is also happening this weekend.
  • The parade runs from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, June 19. Organizers say it starts at Leona Street and East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and makes its way toward Rosewood Park.
  • The City of Austin says the larger festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rosewood Neighborhood Park, with live entertainment, food vendors, community resources and cultural activities.

Music Under the Star at the Bullock

  • Free live music is back at the Capitol Mall tonight.
  • Music Under the Star runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 19, at the Capitol Mall Amphitheater outside the Bullock Texas State History Museum. Rochelle and the Sidewinders hit the stage at 7 p.m., followed by Tameca Jones at 8 p.m.
  • The free Friday concert series also includes food, drinks and downtown views. There are only two more Fridays left to catch it this month.

Soul 2 Sole Tap Festival

  • Some of the world’s top tap dancers are taking over the Long Center this weekend.
  • Soul 2 Sole, one of the oldest tap festivals in the world, is taking its final bow this year. The 25th annual festival runs June 17 through June 21, with public concerts at the Long Center Friday and Saturday night.
  • Tickets are available for the evening performances.

ATX Fan Fest at Domain NORTHSIDE

  • Caught up in World Cup excitement? Domain NORTHSIDE has something for soccer fans this Saturday.
  • ATX Fan Fest starts at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, on The Lawn at Domain NORTHSIDE. The free event includes Austin FC players Dani Pereira and Owen Wolff, autograph opportunities, DJ beats, a 3D soccer art installation and family-friendly fun.
  • Fans can also check out a World Cup teams flag installation on Domain Boulevard.

New YMCA Adventure Course

  • And for families looking to burn off some energy, there is a new adventure course open in Cedar Park.
  • The Orr Family Sky Trail at the Twin Lakes Family YMCA includes zip lines, ropes courses, elevated walkways and multilevel climbing structures for kids and adults. The new course opened to the public June 13.
  • It is located at 204 East Little Elm Trail in Cedar Park. Tickets are required, and the YMCA says height, weight and clothing requirements apply.
