Forum Carlsbad hosts Discovery Days
The Forum Carlsbad hosts Discovery Days, featuring hands-on, mobile exhibits designed to engage families in STEM-based learning challenges. The San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum will present the free exhibits in The Garden Area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays starting this week. The rotating exhibits will include: Rigamajig: A set of wooden planks, wheels, pulleys, nuts, bolts and rope to allow children to learn about engineering; Light Wall: Children can experiment with light and design; Imagination Playground: Discover the fundamentals of architecture using large foam blocks; Snap Circuits: Pieces snap together to create complete circuits. Children and grownups can light up a light bulb, make a fan spin, and create noise with a speaker; Wind Tunnel: Children will explore aerodynamics, lift, drag and air pressure; Ramps: Children can discover how structure affects elevation, speed, distance and motion with this collection of loose parts; Coding: With markers, paper and Ozobots, children discover the magic of coding. The Forum Carlsbad is at 1923 Calle Barcelona. Visit theforumcarlsbad.com.
