Fun and Japanese-inspired store Daiso, the global chain specializing in unique (and cheap) products, is opening two centrally located stores in the Dallas area including one at The Shops at Park Lane.

According to a release, that will on November 25.

Located at 8180 Park Ln. #C125, near Bloomingdale’s Outlet, the store encompasses 8,868 square feet – one of their largest in the DFW area so far – and promises to be a haven for shoppers seeking Japanese inspired home decor, stationery, food, and more.

The opening follows another Daiso that just debuted in Richardson, at Lennox Center, 1310 W. Campbell Rd. #122, across from La Madeleine, where it opened on November 18. That is a slightly smaller store, at 5,828 square feet.

Founded in Japan in 1977, Daiso entered the US market in 2005 and is headquartered in La Mirada, California. They debuted in DFW in 2015 with a store in Carrollton, and have since opened locations in Irving, Plano, Frisco, Euless, Grapevine, Fort Worth, Watauga, and Arlington. Their most recent opening was a 5,400-square-foot store in Dallas at the Mockingbird Commons center at Mockingbird Lane and Abrams Road. They currently have nearly 113 locations in seven states.

Daiso carries thousands of products: kitchenware, beauty supplies, stationery, wrapping paper, electronic accessories, greeting cards, party favors, and plushie toys, plus exotic-ish snacks such as wasabi peanuts.

Daiso USA’s chief development officer John Clarke says, “Dallas based Daiso customers have shown us through our online business and social media their desire for us to have more stores within the area, influencing our immediate growth strategy in this region.”
